Sunday: Patmos

We arrived into Patmos Sunday morning. Patmos is the island where the apostle John lived in exile and where he wrote Revelation, the last book in the Bible. 

On Patmos we visited the Monastery of St. John and the cave where tradition says John was when he had the apocalyptic vision which became the book of Revelation. 

Upon leaving Patmos we set sail for our next port, Santorini. Warning to those who may wish to follow this path--the seas can be very rough here! It was Sunday afternoon where we experienced 10-12 foot waves and VERY rough seas, and where some of us gave the fish a bit more to eat...although I am still not sure if it was the rough seas or John's talk that led to my loosing my lunch...into the wind, no less. Just a tip--if you are going to get sick over the side of a luxury yacht, make sure you are on the leeward side!
