Tina in the "bottle dungeon" |
Our daily ice cream. I have never seen a double scoop side by side before! |
Tina in front of the Edinburgh Castle. It is situated on a hill, which
was the most easily defended hilltop on the invasion route between
England and Scotland. This entrance gateway dates from between 1886-8.
Among other things, it is also the site of the Scot
ish Crown Jewells, which we saw and which were quite impressive. |
Two fiery preachers...Tina and John Knox. |
Me, in front of the John Knox house, which is the oldest surviving tenement
in Edinburgh, dating from around 1490. |
John Knox is thought to have lived here from 1561 to 1572. |
Tina, with our rental car, at 5 in the morning as we were dropping it
off for her to leave on a very early
flight |
The Scottish countryside, out the window of the train, as I was headed
back to St. Andrews from Glasgow. It kind of reminds me of driving across
the US! |
The beach in St. Andrews, about a five minute walk through the cathedral
ruins, from my flat at 'Priorsgate.' |
A boat in the harbor at St. Andrews--again, for my Dad |
A panoramic shot looking out over Edinburgh from the castle |
A panoramic shot looking out over St. Andrews from St. Rule's Tower |
