My tent, set up for the 24 hour solo.
Keep in mind, while it was raining, I
couldn't be out taking pictures. It was
raining a decent amount during
the 24 hours!

Me, during the first part of the day, when
I was feeling rather miserable...but at
least the sun came out!

The view out my tent

In the evening, I finally went for a walk. If
you look at the center of this picture,
you can barely see the yellow from the
tent's rain cover

Morning sunrise, at the end of the 24 hour
solo. (We went from 8AM Tuesday
to 8AM Wednesday.)

104_0426

Hanging out on the lawn after making it
through the 24 hour solo. I didn't make
it before the self-timer went off...

104_0427

Still trying to get the timing right...

104_0429

Finally, I made it!

The moonrise

104_0435

On Thursday we did a beach clean-up
as part of our 'conservation' work.

At the end of the week, at the end of
the 'track' which is the walking path to
get to Camas(it is about a 1 mile walk
off the 'main road' (it is one lane--total,
not each way. Also, the bus has to
honk at sheep to move off the road
in order to pass!) to get to Camas).
Daniel changed the setting on my
self-timer so I actually made it into
this one!

The Wee Parish Church on Iona

104_0448

The oldest building at the Iona Abbey,
dating from the 6th century. To the
right is a graveyard where 48 of
Scotland's early kings, including
Macbeth, are buried.

104_0449

Me, standing in front of 'Duni', the tallest
point on Iona. (Don't look too closely
at this photo, as it had been a week
at this point since I had had a shower!)

104_0450

Celtic cross on Iona. Apparently
the design of putting the circle around
the cross was to help it
structurally to withstand the harsh
winds.

Claire and Chris, walking through a field
on our 'off the beaten path' trip down
the back of Duni

I think this is St. John's Cross, in front
of the Iona Abbey
