After battling cancer heroically for close to three years, my dad passed away at home, surrounded by friends and family, on the evening of Friday, September 10, 2004. This page contains a selection of photos as well as a written transcript from his memorial service.

Pat, was a very creative and talented person.

We were introduced May 13, 1968, the day I started work for the City of Newport Beach Public Works Department. As I remember, the person who was showing me around cautioned me about how salty, vocal and opinionated the Field Engineer, Pat Dunigan, was and that I should give him a wide berth unless I wanted trouble. To me that was a challenge.
