Memorial Day in La Mision
The Festival de La Mision coincides each year with Memorial Day Weekend. It features a rodeo, bonfire (fogata), and Mexican folkloric dancing.

Children's Day
On May 2, in honor of "Children's Day" a small group of us drove up the valley from La Mision to a small rural community called San Jose de la Zora.
For the past few years, Edgar has taken his young daughters there as a way to show them that it is important to show generosity to others.

In April I had the opportunity to take a 'border immersion' with a group called Frontera de Cristo. These are images from our three days along the US/Mexico border.
The second half of the week I attended a conference, Crossing Borders: Encountering God. I wrote an article about the conferece, as well as an article about a statement released by the conference.

Tigger the dog!
One afternoon in late October I was sitting on the porch in Mexico, enjoying the sunset, eating chips and salsa, when all of a sudden this flash of fur jumped onto the porch, wagging its entire rear end, and ate my salsa. Her name should really be salsa, but due to her love and repitition of jumping straight up in the air, Tigger was what stuck. She is probably the cutest dog you've ever seen, though I'm not biased...
