The tower
200 feet tall, 55 feet wide,
and leans at an 85 degree
angle.

The tower started to lean almost
immediately after construction began.

127_2717

The tower was built over two
centuries by at least three different
architects. The first stones were laid
in 1173 and was completed
c. 1372.
