The Dingle Peninsula...

Dingle was definitely one of my favorite places of the trip. The town was quaint, the place we stayed was wonderful, the food was good and the Irish music in the pub was terrific!

We spent the day in Dingle, driving the Dingle Peninsula route (Slea Head Drive), stopping for plenty of pictures. The coastline was spectacular. Unfortunately, as with most of the days, it was cloudy and a bit rainy, so the visibility was a wee bit limited. It just means another trip in nicer weather might be necessary! Dingle is definitely a place that I could easily return to.

Gaelic writing on a Catholic Church. I think that I assumed that Irish people primarily spoke English, just with a funny accent. I didn't realize how prevalent 'Irish' or Gaelic, would be.

I love taking pictures of fences and
boundaries. This one was particularly
interesting to me, as the boundary
between the 'life' of the green field
and the death in the cemetery.

This is a picture of Jerry rushing to put the fence back up, after he had tried to enter this field to take 'the perfect picture.' The only catch was that the sheep heard him and decided he was there to let them all out of the cage!

The sheep, ready to leave. We were a bit worried that we might look behind us on the road and see that the sheep had managed to escape, but luckily no roadside sheep sightings!
